Dr. Adham El Menoufy has acquired a diverse and versatile experience in structural engineering with specialization in structural assessment and rehabilitation. In 2016, he joined ECO MISR as our Executive Director upon his return to Egypt.
He obtained his Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil Engineering from Alexandria University in 2005. Upon graduation he worked with an international construction firm, Consolidated Contractors International Company (CCC) in Dubai, UAE, on a high-profile urban project, The Dubai Mall.
In 2008 he pursued graduate studies in structural engineering at the University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, where he obtained his Master of Applied Science in 2010, and proceeded to receive his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Civil (Structural) Engineering in 2015. His research focused on structural deterioration, fatigue-loading effects on conventional and prestressed structures, and structural rehabilitation using Fibre Reinforced Polymers (FRP). He also worked on multiple research projects in collaboration with governmental and industry partners.
In 2014 studies he joined Pretium Anderson Building Engineers, an engineering firm in Ontario, Canada, as a Project Manager with the Structural Division. Adham was involved in a variety of structural engineering projects covering multiple disciplines such as: new construction design (concrete, steel and timber structures), structural condition assessments, deep foundation design for helical piers and micro piles for new construction and remediation/retrofit purposes, traditional concrete structural rehabilitation and structural rehabilitation using composite (FRP) materials.
